About the team
VPM is built in Tallinn by a small team: developers, and people who sell marine fuel and ship supplies for a living.
Why it exists
Selling to ships is a timing business. If you know a vessel reaches your port in three days and its bunkers are low, you have an opening. Today that knowledge arrives by phone call, by agent, by a contact who happens to mention it — in other words, by chance, and often after someone else has already quoted.
We were on the wrong end of that often enough to build the tool we wanted: one that turns "find out by chance" into "know in advance".
How we work
Two habits run through the product and this documentation:
- Measured, not asserted. Every accuracy claim comes from a chronological back-test, and we publish the method and the weak spots alongside the number.
- One thing, finished. We take a capability as far as it needs to go before starting the next — see the roadmap.
