For bunker suppliers
The whole point of VPM. Know which vessels are heading to your port, whether they will need fuel, and when they leave — while there is still time to make the call.
The question you are asking today
"How do I find out that a vessel coming into my port is going to need bunkers?" Right now the answer is a phone call, an agent, a contact, or luck — and often it comes in after a competitor has already quoted.
What VPM puts in front of you
Pick your port. VPM shows the vessels heading toward it over the coming days, and for each one:
- Whether it is likely to need fuel before or at your port, with a rough quantity and the grade.
- When it is expected in, and when it is expected to leave — the window you have to work with.
- Whether the arrival is the vessel's own declared destination or VPM's prediction, so you know how firm it is.
- A contact for the operator.
What it is built on
A prediction of each vessel's next port of call, a consumption estimate for the leg, and a real sea-route distance for the timing. The pipeline and its measured accuracy are documented in full — including where the model is weak and says so.
Where this stands
Live. The Port View runs today on VPM's tracked fleet. Coverage of a given port grows as more of its arriving traffic is tracked — see Coverage.
How it is sold
Per port. A supplier at one port pays for that port's view; a supplier at another pays for theirs. Pricing is not published — get in touch and we will set you up with your port.
